Yes—our photo booths can be set up outdoors at Detroit and Metro Detroit venues as long as we have a fully covered, shaded area, access to power, a level surface, and protection from rain or high winds. For the best guest experience and photo quality, we’ll review your floor plan and work with your planner or venue to choose the ideal location.

Our signature look is clean, modern, and minimal, so we don’t overload the booth with cheesy props by default. If your Detroit wedding or corporate event calls for themed props, we’re happy to source custom pieces or style a curated selection that matches your brand or décor.

Yes—we’re based in Metro Detroit and regularly travel to Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, the Grosse Pointes, Troy, Novi, Ann Arbor, and other surrounding Michigan destinations. For events outside the Detroit area or out of state, travel and accommodation fees may apply; share your venue details on the inquiry form and we’ll include everything in your custom quote.

Every event includes a private online gallery where you and your guests can view, download, and share all of your photo booth images. Guests receive their captures instantly via text or email, and we also send you a downloadable archive so you can keep all of your Detroit event content backed up.

An overlay is the custom “frame” that sits on top of each image—think your logo, event name, wedding monogram, or branded graphics. We design every overlay in‑house to match your Detroit wedding or corporate brand guidelines so every photo looks intentional and on‑brand when guests share on social.

Absolutely. If you have a custom backdrop, floral wall, step‑and‑repeat, or venue feature you’d like to use, we’ll position the booth to work seamlessly with it. Just share the dimensions and a photo of the backdrop in advance so we can confirm it fits our layout and lighting requirements.

Yes—we design and produce custom backdrops for weddings, corporate events, and brand activations across Detroit and Metro Detroit. From seamless fabric walls and printed step‑and‑repeats to fully built‑out photo sets, we’ll create a backdrop that photographs beautifully and aligns with your event design or brand campaign.

Modern Social Detroit carries a multi‑million‑dollar liability insurance policy, and we’re happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for your venue upon request. Most Detroit hotels, country clubs, and event venues require this for photo booth vendors, so we handle it well before your event date.
